Lights in Rupert: (The night after Thanksgiving) Every year they light up the park in the middle of the square (basically their downtown) in Rupert. We got there just after they had lit up but right before they started the fireworks.
Thanksgiving: We spent Thanksgiving here in Burley with Cody's family. All of his brothers and their families and his sister and her husband came. It was a lot of people, a lot of kids, and a lot of fun. Cody and I made little turkeys out of candy. This one is named Happy Feet.
Every year the women do some kind of craft and the men do something with the kids to give them that time. This year they hooked up the three buggies to a tractor and gave all the kids and men a ride.
Cody's Birthday: Cody used to play the piano when he was younger but hasn't played in a long time. He kept saying he really wanted a keyboard but we could do that for our Christmas present to each other. But I surprised him with it for his birthday instead. The surprised was ruined when it came 2 weeks before his birthday in a large TALL box...
Attempted Bread: One afternoon I decided that I wanted to make some cinnamon rolls. Well lets just say our house isn't warm enough to even let bread raise on the counters. I put the dough in the oven on low with the door open to let it raise. It ended up cooking half of the bread. We pulled out the middle dough that was still usable and attempted to still make it work.
Halloween: We went on a double date with a friend of Cody's from his ward growing up. We went to a corn maze and then out to dinner at Johnny Carino's.
We went to Kasota Park, where the corn maze was, and they had these HUGE slides. They built this hill and you sit in gunny sacks and FLY down them! You literally feel like you are falling but you end up in a little pit of plastic balls. So much fun!
Pumpkin Patch: I went to the pumkin patch with my sister-in-law Nichole and her kids to pick out pumkins for halloween!
Snow: There isn't much snow here in Burley. Definitely different from Alaska.
Sunset: The sunsets are absolutely amazing. They always have at least three colors painted across the sky no matter how cold or warm it is.
