For some odd reason, babies like him. He mocks them and imitates them, makes faces at them, and makes weird noises and for some odd reason they STILL like him.
I guess he does have some likeable qualities because we all sure do love dad!

Ellenor sleeps scrunched up still, when she does actually sleep. Last night she decided to be just like her momma and did NOT want to sleep. She was wide awake and happy from 4:30 until 8:30. She is going to be one night owl. But we still like her.

What a week it has been so far! There is just something about having family so far away come to visit. It is as if no time has passed at all, I love that feeling.

My poor mother has made so cooked so many turkeys this holiday season but has not been able to eat any of them! One of the things I told her that was a must when she came to help with little Ellie was to teach me how to cook a turkey. And this time she actually got to eat it!!! We had a belated Thanksgiving and it was wonderful! Besides the turkey we had brussel sprouts (Like I would actually eat green foods! HA!), salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, and of course grandma's rolls! They are the best and there is no thanksgiving meal without them!

Add about a cube of butter to the top of these so they shine!

{Ellie-One week old}

Yesterday was my due date but instead of being pregnant I was able to spend the day with my 2 1/2 week old. Our little Ellenor is sure growing up fast.

She hasn't been able to breast feed since she was born. The nurses at the hospital said that because she was so little she wouldn't be able to suck as hard and that she acted like a premie. I have been pumping and giving her a bottle ever since we left the hospital. A few days ago I decided to try a few other tricks. She has FINALLY started eating. It has made feeding times so much easier! Instead of an hour plus, it is 45 minutes or less. I know that seems like a silly thing to get excited about but after two weeks of being frustrated, it is a welcomed relief.

Other than her eating good, she is a very happy baby. Ellie is definitely my child. She likes to stay awake for a long time and not sleep very much.

Today my mom and dad are coming to visit before heading to Utah for Christmas. Baby Ellenor gets to meet her grandpa for the first time and I could not be more excited! This is going to be a fun holiday season for our little girl, she gets to meet a lot of family that is excited to finally get to see her.

Afternoons are my absolute favorite. On Friday miss Ellenor and I had a perfect afternoon. It was snowing outside, we were watching Miracle on 34th St. and she was wide awake and perfectly content to just be sitting with her momma.

This afternoon while Cody was at church we took a nap together. She is currently snuggled up with her daddy on the couch, napping of course.

We can't believe that we have had our little girl for a week and a half now! The time has sure flown!
