So excited that she finally fits into these shorts!
I have an amazing daughter. She sleeps through the night like a champ! Last night was the exception though. Ellenor has caught a cold and her nose has been running like mad. These pictures were from yesterday afternoon, it has gotten even worse since then. She was up every hour last night, we both felt like we didn't sleep at all. Finally about 3:45 I put her in her swing, hoping that being elevated would help, and she finally fell asleep. I am just very, very glad that we haven't had to deal with that before and that it is just something that happened because of her cold (I am seriously hoping!).

Its not a secret but I am just now blogging about it. We bought a bike a few months ago and Cody is absolutely loving it. Since I've known him he has always wanted a pickup (with rims, tires, and nerf bars) and a bullet bike. It took a lot of convincing for me to say yes but I finally gave in and said yes. Every day when he comes home from work (if it is nice out) he asks if I need help with anything or if he can ride his bike.

And I am married to that hotty!!! Lucky me!!!
Don't mind the messy kitchen!

So far we are loving it. Its a fun toy and we are excited to have a new way to go on dates.

Well this crazy little one of ours is already 5 months old and I still just can’t believe it. I never thought I would miss the newborn stage, I was so anxious for her to just grow up already so that we could play. Well she likes to play and loves attention. She has such a little personality, she is so sassy already but I guess that is just payback. Right, mom?

Her little eyes aren’t always a deep brown, they change just like her daddy’s and I love it!

This past weekend we were able to go down to Logan to help Cody’s brother build a shed, well the boys built the shed, us girls just enjoyed the nice weather and company. On Saturday morning my sister in law Becky and I ran a 5k and Vanessa walked the mile. It was a beautiful morning and I was really excited about it. I hadn’t run since the last time we were in Logan which was an entire month. For some reason I thought that it wouldn’t be too bad. It kicked my trash. It was SO hard! Becky did amazing and whooped my butt!

I signed up for a 5K next weekend just across the highway and so far I have run everyday this week (which is only two days so far). It shouldn't wont be nearly as bad as this last one. I will be a lot more ready.

Let me tell you about this girl. She thinks she is funny and that she can get away with anything. Well maybe part of that is true because I let her. But look at her, how could you not?!

Yesterday morning this is how I found her. She had woken up from her nap and was talking away. I was almost done cleaning and decided to leave her until she got fussy. I hurried and finished what I was doing to find her like this. The first picture is more shock, "Mom, you are home!" She then proceeded to smile away and keep talking. She had wiggled her way out of her swaddled position and twisted 180 degrees. Those little smiles get me every time! She sure does know how to work her momma already!

Also yesterday, while napping in the afternoon, I needed something out of a container in her room. I opened the door and started to crawl, (because crawling makes you quieter and less noticeable? Don't ask me why I crawled, it seemed like a good idea at the time!)
I look in her crib and she is bright eyed and awake. She was just hanging out sucking on her hands. She smiles the biggest when she wakes up. It honestly melts my heart. I love this girl.

An update in pictures, nothing is better than that right?!

It has been nice and sunny the past couple of weeks and I have really been enjoying the nice sunrises from the window.

No one cares about the parents, only the baby right?! Well she is getting bigger and has learned very well how to manage to fit everything, I am not exaggerating by saying everything, into her mouth. She especially loves to throw around her teddy bear after taking a nice bite out of his ear.

Ellenor is sitting up all by herself but doesn't last too long before she goes to either side but she loves it and wont sit still on your lap unless she is upright. We have also discovered that what I thought was a brown eyed beauty is not quite so brown every day. Some days they are brown but more often than not they are green. But still beautiful!

We started feeding Ellie rice cereal last week and it has been a fun experience so far. Despite her funny faces in the pictures below (that was her first time trying it, I don't blame her) she loves it!

We have been using her Jenny Jump Up a few times a day and she absolutely loves it. She will sit in there for a long time, which is nice while I am trying to get a few things done. But she hasn't quite discovered how to bounce up and down yet, she has decided that leaping forward no matter which direction she is facing is more fun. Even if she is headed straight for the door frame, apparently they aren't wide enough for her. She gets a few nice pink circles on her head but they disappear fast, don't worry!

Her favorite thing to do while in it is actually not the jumping part but the gnawing part. She loves to sink her gums into the fabric and go to town.

Easter this year was great. We spent Saturday and Sunday at the in-laws with two of Cody's brothers and his sisters family. We sure do love them a lot. My mother in law Gwen had a brilliant idea that we should fly kites on Saturday, especially because Burley is extremely windy all the time. The kids each got to choose their own kite and some lasted a lot longer than others. It will be fun when Ellenor is big enough to participate and not just hang out inside.

I know I have always said that I do not miss Rexburg but I will admit that there are a few things that I do miss. Having a temple so close is one and of course G's Dairy. But what I miss most about Rexburg is Gator Jacks. Cody had to travel up there this week for work and I got to go with him. I loved being able to see Li-Sha, she is pretty much amazing! They are going to make some kick butt parents some day because babies sure do love them! Every time Michael was in view she was looking right at him and smiling! I love that it has been a while since I have been able to see close friends and that I have seen two in the past two weeks!  I can't wait until Cody needs to go to Rexburg in the near future because one of my other best friends just got home from her mission and will be headed there for school!

ADORABLE shoes Li-Sha made!! Love them!

Other than playing with this adorable baby who is getting to be so big we are just getting by spending our time together and loving it. Cody's new job is amazing and actually encourages family time. I have no complaints because he is home by 5 every night and rarely later and he can take time off no problem.

Cody has been doing really well at mowing the yard and loving that he has plenty of time to do so. He also has a new, well two month old, hobby that has been taking up a lot of time but I will post about that later because it deserves it's own. We are getting excited to plant our garden, Cody even tilled the garden this morning.

Next weekend we are headed to Logan to help Cody's brother build a shed and by we I mean Cody will help while I get to play with Becky and the kids. So excited! We are also running a 5k and it will be amazing.

One last thing. Cody and I went and saw a movie today and it. was. AMAZING! You never really notice how much you miss your alone time when you never have it (nights don't count because they are still in the next room over). Gwen more than willing to watch Ellie for us, Ellie loves her time with grandma, and we were able to see the Hunger Games! The best part about it was Cody didn't absolutely hate it. Even better!
