Am I glad it is a new week! I like being busy and having things to do but when everything hits at once its not as much fun. I had a test on Monday and if I didn't ace it I would have had to write a paper due on Saturday. Thank heavens I did ace it! I had a seven page history paper due on Thursday night. I also finished one of my classes on Friday! To celebrate a crazy week and finally finishing that stupid paper that had consumed me all week long I went out to lunch and window shopped on Friday. Much needed girl time well spent!
I did family pictures on Friday and Sunday afternoon, both of which turned out really good. Sunday I taught the lesson at church and we had our nieces birthday party. She came running inside all upset that her brother was throwing tomatoes at her. I started laughing at her as she was giving her mom the best mad face she could muster up and she couldn't help but start laughing to. I seriously love kids!
Wednesday night we had a Halloween party for the girls. I made pumpkin ice cream for it and when I left there was 3/4 of the pan left. It is Cody's favorite so it doesn't surprise me that a 9x13 pan of it was gone in just 3 days! I may have helped out a little bit though. But just a little bit.
I grabbed Ellie and Cody and we took a few pictures. It's easy to forget how much faster babies get colder than you. It's amazing that she stills puts up with having a camera in her face. Now all I need is for her to do her cheesy face when I get the camera out. It's a squinty eyed, wide mouth cheesy grin. I love it!
Having a little girl is a million times better than having a doll. You can play dress up with her, until she screams. It's fun mixing and matching everything in her closet. If it looks too awful I Can just say dad dressed her. Just kidding but I may now have to use that excuse when I'm doing laundry.

This time last year I was making Cody's Christmas and birthday presents. It took a lot of time an I realized I never shared.
I knew with having a baby it would really limit what we were able to do. I had seen on Pinterest a few similar ideas and went for it. A few of the ideas centered around movies that we already had. For example the movie Kung Foo Panda have a Chinese themed night with homemade orange chicken (Cody's favorite) and a funny game I found online. I thought of movies we had and went from there. A few other ideas were things that we. could do with a sleeping baby in the back seat of the car. Some of them aren't really even dates but just something to do after the little one is in bed besides falling asleep to a movie.
Ellenor has been a really good baby and we really haven't used this yet. With winter coming upon us I know we are going to be using it a lot more and I am really excited. So here are a few pictures!

Being able to listen to general conference this past weekend was amazing. I love the lessons that are taught that apply so directly towards my life. Even if I wasn't LDS (a mormon) it is still great council about how to live a rich life, and by rich I mean fulfilling. One of the main ideas that I caught from the entire conference (I think a lot has to do with where I am in life) was the importance of family and those relationships. Spending time doing things that are most beneficial for my family and developing those relationships. I can't wait to reread all those talks. We were able to spend time at Cody's parents this weekend to watch it with a couple of his siblings and their families that came to visit for the weekend. I married into the best family (well besides my own, duh!).
Sunday night Cody and I decided e needed to get out of the house and headed down to the river. It was not chilly but not too warm. The colors on the trees are starting to change and the sun was setting. It was stunning. I will never get sick of walking while watching the sunset.
Last night I went to the straw maze with the youth for mutual. Having 6 dozen donuts in your car is very tempting and hard not to eat a few but I didn't sneak any. Last year it was freezing so this year I put extra coats, hats, and socks in the car just in case. We got going and realized it was so warm! It didn't help that we were running for the first half hour. We stripped down a few layers and then headed back in. We found the entrance 3 times! We were getting bored and really wanted a good donut before they all got eaten so we had the guy up top show us out. It was funny how many people we picked up as he was showing us out, I guess we weren't the only ones who were done with it. One of the young men's leaders and his wife kept popping out from no where. It made it a lot more interesting running through it without any lights and occasionally having someone jump out at you, really encourages the running.
Cody has been working a lot, last night he was up in Idaho Falls area. He is the best dad any girl could have. She screams when he leaves, throws a full blown fit and when he gets home she screams for joy.
I've been staying busy with school work and young women's. I am also lining up family pictures within the next couple of weeks. I love family pictures especially with who I am going to do then for. For young women's we are having a Halloween party next week and the week after we are making flower/bow head bands for girls with cancer. If you have any easy bow/flower tutorials that you know of PLEASE let me know!

Tonight's movie of choice, Beauty and the Beast. We'll just call it Ellie's choice. Cody thinks the ending is weird. I think mainly because the beast has red hair and he has never seen a man with long red hair. Valid point I guess. Dinner of choice? Margarita pizza (fresh tomatoes, basil, Italian seasoning, multiple cheeses). I am considering making it every other night for dinner now! How many weeks do you think I could make it before Cody would hate me? I doubt I could even make it a whole week but I can still try to verbally persuade him right?! Either that or I would be eating a lot of pizza and gaining 5 lbs a day!
Last night we had to pick all our tomatoes because it was supposed to freeze. Have I mentioned before that we have 6 tomato plants? It was cold out and took us a few minutes to pick them all. There were 3 Costco sized diaper boxes full. Let me know if you want tomatoes! Our stomachs wouldn't like us very much if we tried eating all of then.
I bought a Tupperware today for Ellie's clothes. My sister Jen gave us a ton of clothes that are 2T-4T and they are so dang cute! I also bought baby food and left them in the box. Ellie thought it was so much fun to play with. I kept watching and waiting... And the it happened. Her little feet lifted of the floor and started kicking as she fell head first into the container. My eyes were watering from laughing so much. I knew it was going to happen but I was too far away to prevent it. So what do I do? Save my daughter, give her a kiss, and continue laughing. She only cried for a second because she was scared but it made my day!

I consider my sisters my best friends. They really don't have a choice to put up or not and I absolutely love that! I loved spending all day Friday with my sister Jen in all her cute pregnant-ness. They make the cutest babies/kids and I am so excited to meet #4 (boy #3)! It also makes weddings so much more enjoyable to have someone to talk to the whole time so I am not standing awkwardly in the corner zooming in on random people all night.
Today when Cody came home from work he crashed in the middle of the living room floor where Ellie and I were playing. I had just laid my head on Cody's shoulder to snuggle up next to him when I felt a really painful and strong tug on my hair. I looked at Cody really confused... Until I realized that it was not him. Ellie had a strong hold of my hair and when I finally got free of her iron grip I got out of dodge as fast as possible. She climb straight on top of Cody an gave him a big, wet kiss. I guess we are raising a jealous daddy's girl. Whoops!

I am the luckiest! This little ball of fire is my daughter and nothing can ever change that! She has so much spunk and personality yet she is so sweet.
She loves to hold your hands and walk everywhere. Yesterday I tried getting her to walk while holding only one hand (she will only do it if she wants to) and yesterday she was not in the mood. She threw herself on the floor and as she was whining crawled behind the recliner to hide. It was her best fit to date.
She is trying to be independent. She likes to grab the spoon and put the food in her mouth herself. She's been using sippy cups for about two months now and always wants to hold them. As of late she likes to stand while drinking her bottle or sit on her knees.
If you make weird noises or faces she either gives you a blank stare or gives you the eyebrows. If your lucky she will give you a nice loud "AHH"! She is such a talker. She is happy in the mornings and first thin she says is dada. She thinks its a game when I try to get her to say mama, her usual response is either whispering or yelling dada.
If you aren't playing with her she will climb on you and either pull on your hair, ears, eyes, and yesterday she discovered that if she is fast enough she can get eyelashes to.
She is teething again, another on the bottom is starting to show. Maybe she won't get two front teeth? The past week she has been biting everything, it has been my legs a few times, arms and really anything she thinks she. Can get her mouth around. Ellie is fascinated with mouths, if you want to hold her just expect her to inspect your mouth.
She has started paying attention more when we have a movie on, I sometimes put it on just for noise but she will now stop and watch for a minute or two, good thing we have a decent Disney collection started.
She is constantly jabbering and its easy to know when she's eating things or getting into others. She stands anytime she is in her high hair even if she is strapped down and loves to bounce in it. She constantly on the go and trying to be independent but is always looking over her shoulder to make sure you are right behind.
She loves books and has learned how to rip page out. The first time she cried but now I am convinced she likes the sound!
Ellenor is the funniest kid I know and I am so excited to see what these next couple months bring. So far this 10 month stage is my favorite!

I think I may have an obsessive personality and when I say I think I mean I have a really obsessive personality. Especially when it comes to food. Last week all that I wanted for lunch was a turkey sandwich/wrap and for the entire summer enchiladas for dinner sounded absolutely magical. Tonight I made meatloaf and have a feeling it is going to be the new enchiladas.
This past week we bought the movie the Avengers. Cody saw it in the theaters and has been raving about it ever since. I am hooked! It was so good but I was mad that I couldn't remember everyone's story, the only one that I didn't have to have him explain was Iron Man.
Well it was bugging me that I have never even seen a preview for Captain America or the fiery red headed woman in hot black leather. I have now made it a mission to watch all the Marvel movies, especially those whose characters were in the Avengers. This morning while doing laundry and dishes I watched Captain America and I already have Iron Man 2 planned for tomorrow morning.
Today was exactly what I needed. I straightened the house back up, did homework, and then relaxed the rest of the day while playing with only the cutest girl ever! After this crazy weekend it was so nice. The wedding on Friday was great and hanging out all day with my adorable pregnant sister was great! Staying up late looking at pictures of my mom as a little girl an staying up late talking ro grandma is definitely on my top ten favorite things ever! I sung a solo in church on Sunday and I am more than thrilled that it is over. I just have my fingers crossed that I don't get asked to sing it in the other ward in our building (hopefully it was bad enough!).
I included a picture because I finally got one. Ellenor does not have her two front teeth (maybe for Christmas?) and she looks like a kindergarten when she smiles! I love it!
